So I have been on the hunt for combat boots all season long. It’s not really my style but I’ve been loving the look lately and wanted to give it a try. I’ve been searching for a pair that’s not too edgy, cause let’s be real, I can’t pull that off 😂
I found this Vince Camuto pair and instantly fell in love with the velvet. They were different than most combat boots out there and I thought the velvet gave them a softer look, which is exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately they did not make the cut. They were super cute but very painful and I had to return them. Good thing I bought them at Nordstrom who takes everything back 😬. They were so stiff and breaking them in didn’t seem too promising. A few of the studs also fell off after only one wear, which is disappointing. Usually I’m a huge fan of Vince Camuto shoes.
So the hunt continued and I finally found this pair from Michael Kors (who I don’t normally shop from!) I love that they have the ruffles to make them more girly but still have the edginess of combat boots. And they are so comfortable! No breaking in necessary – I was able to last all day the first time wearing them.
My persistence paid off and I plan to get as much use out of them as I can before it gets too warm! I am definitely going to pair them with super girly and flowy things to balance out the edginess.
